About The Business:
Seaview Caravan Park has a prominent position on the cliff top at East Runton in beautiful North Norfolk. It is a small, family owned and managed park that is the perfect holiday destination. It offers luxury caravans for hire and occasionally has new and used caravans for sale.
About The Website:
This was the first website I built - back in 2001. Has been completely updated in the last couple of years and now includes a more comprehensive caravans for hire section. The site was designed with accessibility and search engines in mind. The business no longer needs to advertise offline as they can fill all their vacancies through online enquiries - mainly due to their high-ranking on Google. The website now includes a back-end system where the park owner can easily add new caravans for sale and breaking news.
Skipjack Holiday Cottage: Ingworth, Norfolk
About The Business:
The business needed a website to market their holiday cottage with a difference: Skipjack holiday cottage is available to hire all year round for short breaks or weeks. The newly built accommodation is located above a private indoor swimming pool which you have the use of for 2 hours a day. There is also a sauna and a jacuzzi aswell as an outdoor hot tub.

This website was built from scratch to advertise this unique holiday cottage. Text and images were provided by the customer but I designed the header. Web hosting and domain registration services were also arranged at a great price.

This website was built to help the business reduce the fees it was paying to booking agencies. It is already paying off and bookings are well up on last year. The website is search engine friendly and, although it is up against a huge amount of competition, performs well in searches on Google. An availabilty calendar has been included which the owners can update themselves and a link to a virtual tour of the cottages is provided.

Completely updated for 2008 (and again for 2010). The website is based on Cubecart v4 but features 1,000's of custom modifactions by myself. A fully functioning shopping cart website that can be updated in two clicks from the shop's stock database. Business is booming thanks to its well placed listings on search engines, great prices and huge range of stock levels!

Books KCR is the online shop for established Cromer book shop, Books Etc. The business had been selling books, football memorabilia, autographs and programmes for years on eBay but wanted to establish their own website to reduce the fees paid to eBay.

The website was built using Cubecart v4. Many custom modifications were made to meet the customer's requirements. The back-end system was also adapted to make entering new products and updating categories a simple process.

Karen Rowlands is a Norfolk artist, weaver and dress designer based at Alby Crafts. Her new online art gallery offers prints, originals and cards of her paintings aswell as weaving and examples of her dress designing.

A fun website offering free pub trivia quizzes. Large database of quiz questions available to play online. You can now also have a game of Suduko or the classic Tetris! Originally built for fun to help me learn PHP and MySQL, the website now provides a steady revenue from unobtrusive Google Ads and the Ask.co.uk affiliate scheme. Around 300 unique visitors are attracted daily (as of October 2008) but this is growing steadily.
About The Website:
The website was developed from a free script provided by Neil Gardner of Multi Web Vista. The script was customised beyond recognition by myself. The questions are stored in a MySQL database and the new back-end system allows fast uploading of new quizzes directly from an Access database. Ranks well on Google for "free quizzes", "pub quizzes", "free quiz questions" etc.

Footie Quiz was set up in October 2010 as a joint venture between myself and my brother-in-law. The website offer free football quizzes on all 92 English league clubs. Players can then register (again for free) to compete to be top of their club's leaderboard. The website uses Google Ads to fund the site.

The website was built with PHP and MySql and was loosely based on my existing quiz website, Inquizitive.co.uk, to begin with. Lots of additional features were incorporated including: register and login system, leaderboards, rss news feeds for each club, score tracking system etc.
Baby Name Wizard:

Baby name wizard was launched in Jan 2011. Despite there being 1,000s of baby name websites on the internet I saw a gap in the market for one with a really good search engine. Baby Name Wizard allows seraching for names by origin, first and last letter, popularity, length of name, gender and also gives the option to exclude double-barrelled names and uni-sex names. The website is provided free of charge and is again funded by Google Ads.

About The Business:
I became involved with North East Norfolk Pool League in 2009 when I was asked to become league treasurer. The league did not have a website so I chose to build one to keep track of league tables, scores and player stats. This greatly reduced the cost of postage throughout the season.
About The Website:
Again built in PHP and MySql from scratch. The header and colour scheme was again my own creation. The website can be updated with two clicks directly from the Access database which keeps a track of scores and fixtures. The website is now incredibly secure: after a Turkish hacker had hacked in to the website I realised the need for tight security and made the necessary changes.
Fishing Boat Fantasy Football League: East Runton, Norfolk
About The Business:
I took charge over the scoring for the Fishing Boat Pub's Fantasy Football League in 2007. I developed a database which could calculate the scores incredibly quickly rather tahn doing the work manually each week (which was incredibly time consuming). As many of the people taking part in the league are holidaymakers a website was a good way for every one to keep up to date with the league table.

The Fishing Boat Public House is situated in the tourist village of East Runton, a mile from Cromer in North Norfolk. Regular entertainment, idyllic beer garden, free pool table, pub quizzes and brilliant prices are just some of the reasons this traditional pub is so popular.

This was the first website I built using Joomla software. A full content-management system is provided so the website owners can change all information. This is particulary useful for adding forthcoming events and price changes.

The website was built in 2005 whilst I was still learning about web design.
Biography
Chris grew up in Leicestershire and left school, aged 16, with eleven GCSE's (including A grades in Maths, English and Science). He moved to North Norfolk in 2000 in order to help is his parents run their caravan park on the North Norfolk coast. He spent 3 years doing manual work alongside working in their ice cream kiosk - which is where his passion for retail developed. In this time he also built his first website for the business, developed a computerised booking system and learnt book-keeping and accountancy skills.
Using contacts made in the caravan industry, Chris began selling caravan parts and in 2004 opened his own shop - The Caravan Accessory Shop. The shop's range quickly expanded to almost 2,000 products as a flare for sourcing and buying products developed. His IT knowledge helped him build a state-of-the-art, unique epos system which also took care of stock control and accounting procedures such as VAT returns.
With the arrival of eBay Chris found it was a perfect place to sell excess stock and improve cash flow during the quiet winter months. The mail order business soon overtook shop sales and in 2005 The Caravan Accessory Shop went in to partnership with a large online caravan park directory to launch a web shop. Chris opened the shop's own website soon afterwards. Web sales enabled the business to expand and in 2009 The Caravan Accessory Shop moved to much larger retail premises in West Runton.
The web design and hosting business began in 2005 when Chris was approached to build a website for a local business. He pays paticular attention to search engine optimistation and the ease of use for consumers. His websites are guaranteed to generate results - either sales for your shop, leads for your products or bookings for your holiday accommodation. He can also offer good e-commerce advice having run a successful web shop for several years.
